There are four seasons that have been taught to us since we were young, and you all remember them from the pictures in your school books or on your school boards.
Winter is cold and snowy… A season with fun yet challenging conditions, where children play snowballs with their families and friends, build snowmen, and we watch the snow falling outside from the window in our cozy homes…
Spring, when flowers bloom, and nature turns green… A peaceful season when families go on picnics, children run and play among the greenery, pick flowers, enjoy the sunshine and cool breeze, and they never want to come back inside…
Summer, and finally vacation time… A season full of excitement when people enjoy the sea, sun, discovering new places, and vacation, children wish it would never end, and adults find time to have fun and travel…
Autumn, the time to rest… A relaxation season when children are excited to go back to school and see their friends again, and for adults, the exhaustion of the fast pace of the summer months gives way to rest, and they enjoy the cool weather…

Have you ever thought that the seasons, which are a result of the Earth’s annual cycle, also exist in each of our lives?
Yes, there are four seasons that we experience in our lives as well, and knowing which season we are in will give us strength and allow us to shape our mindset accordingly.
Of course, sometimes—such as in economic situations—being able to recognize which season our environment and the world are in will give us extra strength.
Because sometimes, even if we make the right decision, if that decision is made at the wrong time, it can lead to disappointment.
For example, a very close friend of mine took out a significant loan to buy a car during the highest inflation period in Turkey, thinking the price would increase further.
Now, due to tight monetary policies, he is struggling to sell it even at the price he bought it, and he says that he made the decision to buy the car at the wrong time.
Now you might be wondering, ‘How should we act in which season?’, ‘How should we prepare ourselves?’ or ‘What do the seasons represent?’
Let’s take a closer look at the four seasons of our lives together and explore how we can shape our decisions and actions according to the seasons…
WINTER – Time to Rest, Learn, Prepare, Renew and Strengthen:

Imagine what happens around the world during the winter season…
The leaves of the trees have fallen, the weather is harsh, and the cold wind is blowing. Animals have retreated to their nests, struggling to find food.
Difficult and severe conditions…
But the best part of winter is that nature rests, strengthens, and prepares itself for the upcoming season.
The winter season in human life is just like this.
It’s a time when everything seems overwhelming, things appear difficult, hopeless, and out of control…
However, winter is the best time to prepare ourselves for the upcoming spring — a new season of opportunities.
During this period, we should take a step back to observe challenging and seemingly hopeless situations, reinforce our empowering beliefs, plan our actions, educate ourselves, increase our physical and mental resilience, and build a mindset that will drive us forward.
One of the most important things to learn in this season is the power of patience.
Of course, I don’t define patience — as people commonly perceive it nowadays — as merely waiting, and I don’t want you to think this way either.
Patience is to never give up on the actions that will strengthen you, no matter the circumstances. It means to constantly renew, improve yourself, and keep your mind open.
There are many quotes about patience, but I want to share two of my favorite ones here to inspire you.
The patıent bırd flıes better than all other bırds.
– Rumı –
Patıence ıs the courage of vırtue.
– Bernard de Saınt Pıerre –
Even though the winter season might appear dreadful in our minds, it is actually the key to opening the door to all opportunities in life.
If you have experienced a winter season in a certain period of your life, you must have realized how much those days have strengthened you.
My own winter season began during my university years when my father passed away.
It continued with serious family issues, financial difficulties, increased anxiety, and shortly after, my brother, at a very young age, was diagnosed with cancer and miraculously recovered.
Then, my 17-year-old niece was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which resulted in partial paralysis after surgery.
During this time, I was also trying to support my siblings in their struggles, and sometimes, I couldn’t even find money to buy food…
However, I have been a patient person for as long as I can remember, and I don’t like to complain.
It was exactly during these times that God opened a door for me and led me to meet a very valuable mentor.
And through my mentor, I was introduced to Tony Robbins’ books and NLP.
Thanks to this, I started to take charge of my life, improve myself, reduce my anxieties, and began to enjoy what I was doing.
Now, looking back, I am glad I went through most of these experiences and never gave up on myself.
I still have many areas to improve because I always define myself as a student.
And I always pursue new opportunities without getting stuck in the past.
Finally, I would like to leave a beautiful quote from Jim Rohn about the winter season.
Don’t wısh ıt was easıer, wısh you were better.

SPRING – Time to Act and Seize Opportunities:

Spring is the season when flowers start to bloom, everything turns green, the weather begins to warm up, and people start to socialize outside more—opens up to new excitements.
Just as nature comes back to life after winter, new opportunities arise after the most challenging times in our lives.
So, we step into the spring season.
The fact that new opportunities come after difficult conditions, just like in nature, is one of life’s beautiful ironies.
Your ability to do what you want during this season largely depends on the resilience you gained and the belief systems and mindset you built in the winter months.
This season is the best time to implement the plans you made in the winter and use the developmental mindset you created to see and seize new opportunities.
The most important tasks to accomplish in spring are to take action according to the plans you made in winter, learn from the outcomes of your actions, and move forward.
If you haven’t made any plans, finish the planning phase quickly and do your best without getting lost in analysis or hesitation.
The key point to keep in mind here is that each opportunity contains risk in itself.
Analyzing risk is good for taking the right steps, but over-analyzing or hesitation about whether to take the risk can cause the opportunity to slip away.
I might be one of those who experienced this the most.
There were many times when I drowned in analysis due to unnecessary perfectionism, failed to get started, and missed opportunities as my enthusiasm faded.
Or, in moments when I didn’t feel enough, I withdrew and left things unfinished, missing out on genuinely good opportunities once again.
But now that I am certain of my real passion, my real “why” and beliefs,
I will continue to work systematically with my blog posts and subsequent projects to improve myself and contribute something to you.
Spring is the season that offers opportunities to those who live it, but only those who take action and develop themselves with a belief system and mindset without hesitation will achieve success.
Therefore, the motto of this season is: TAKE ACTION! NOTICE NEW OPPORTUNITIES! TAKE RISKS AND SEIZE THEM!
SUMMER – Time to Grow and Protect:

Summer is the season loved by all of us, especially children.
It’s a time filled with opportunities to enjoy the warm weather, take vacations, explore new places, cool off in the sea, and engage in activities packed with fun and excitement—a period when energy is at its peak.
In our lives, it represents a time of growth, when we begin to see the results of our actions and the path to our goals becomes clearer.
The growth and clarity we experience in our work, relationships, etc., during the summer depend on the significant and decisive actions we took in the spring.
However, this growth and the emergence of results can lead to a sense of complacency.
During this season, you may feel the urge to relax and take a vacation to recover from the efforts made in the spring.
Automating some tasks and taking a short break can be beneficial, but if you succumb to complacency and fail to protect what you have achieved, disappointment is quite likely.
Therefore, the best approach in this season is to keep vacations short, continue working to maintain your growth, stay on course toward your goals no matter what, and share what you have learned along the way.
Another significant issue during the summer season is the potential for burnout.
However, the stronger and clearer your passion and your “why”, the less likely you are to experience this problem.
Additionally, with short breaks and small rewards (as long as you avoid complacency), you can keep your motivation alive, as this is in line with human nature.
Use the energy of the summer to your advantage—for your growth.
Prevent the distractions of the summer season from diverting you off course, keep your eyes on your goal and passion, and don’t forget to share what you have learned with others!
AUTUMUN – Time for Transformation and Harvest:

Autumn is the season when the weather cools down, the rains begin, trees turn into shades of yellow and red, and leaves start to fall, and the breathtaking landscapes enchant us.
It’s the time when nature celebrates and rests after the fruits of all its efforts in spring and summer.
Similarly, in our lives, after the intense actions of spring and summer, we may see results far beyond our expectations during this season.
However, if we didn’t prepare well enough and take the right actions in the other three seasons, it’s also possible that we might not get the results we desired.
Regardless of the outcome, the best approach during this season is to take full responsibility for all results, embrace gratitude, remember to help those in need—both materially and spiritually—and prepare for the upcoming winter season.
Because if you didn’t achieve satisfactory results, you will need to strengthen your resilience even more during the winter.
If you truly executed your actions correctly in the previous three seasons, it will be easier to overcome any setbacks in this season, as you would have learned enough along the way.
One of the most significant aspects of this season is that it offers an opportunity for self-assessment.
In other words, taking full responsibility for your achievements and reflecting on what you can do better in the upcoming seasons, in the tranquility of this period, will allow you to see the path ahead more clearly.
Because you cannot change anything about the past, but you can shape the future.
In autumn, be grateful, don’t forget to share your experiences with others, and remember to give to those in need!
Seasons can also be defined according to the stages of life.
For example, from birth to adulthood is considered spring; from adulthood to maturity, i.e., the 40s, is summer; from maturity to old age, i.e., the 60s, is autumn; and the period of old age is called winter.
Spring is the season of learning, discovering, and seizing opportunities; summer is the season of growth, self-improvement, and gaining experience; autumn is the season of reaping what you sow and taking responsibility; and winter is the season of mentorship and dealing with issues such as health problems.
Of course, throughout the flow of life, we experience many seasons within these age-defined ones.
The key is to understand that every season we are in is temporary.
Just as seasons and even days come and go in the world, the seasons in our lives are also temporary in the same way.
Some seasons may last longer, and some may pass quickly, but if you know which season you are in, you can benefit from it.
And believe me, no one knows your current season better than you do, and understanding the seasons is so easy.
Maybe we cannot change the seasons, but we can change our actions because our actions are in our control.
These ups and downs of life’s seasons are, in fact, opportunities offered to us.
The unique experiences we go through in each season provide us with opportunities to learn, grow, and transform.
Therefore, in the seasons you are in, focus on building empowering belief system and mindset, taking actions in the line with your passion, goals, and your “why”, and most importantly, enjoying your life along the way.
